Dubai Petroleum has a long history linked to the Emirate of Dubai as it is an angular part of its industry since 1969, date of the first commercial oil export from the offshore Fateh field.
During this time, hundreds of wells were drilled to explore and develop the hydrocarbon resources while billions of barrels were produced, participating to the development of the Emirate.
This created a local network of companies that were part of the initial industrial developments around the creek and later in the Jebel Ali port, now known as JAFZA. Several generations of Emiratis have gained experience by working directly or indirectly with the Company and it continues at present.
Based on this rich past, the Company is now looking forward to its future focusing on new technologies to increase oil recovery in the existing fields, modern exploration in frontier geological targets and industry best practice to safely produce hydrocarbons.
